4. The purpose of processing personal data
At Tipitii Translations, our purpose for processing personal data is to facilitate communication with clients, maintain customer relationships, improve our customer service and support our marketing efforts. We use personal data only for managing our customer and partner relationships and for other customer activities, such as communications.

6. Regular sources of information
Personal data is collected during the customer relationship and during the work performed in order to create a potential customer relationship. Personal data is collected from the data subject themselves and from public sources, such as a company’s website, the Finnish Population Information System or other corresponding third-party filing systems in accordance with the currently valid EU and UK data protection legislation.

7. Regular data disclosure and transfer of data outside the EU or EEA
Personal data is not disclosed. Personal data may be published only to the extent agreed upon with the client.
Tipitii Translations operates in the United Kingdom, which is not a member of the EU or EEA. However, Tipitii Translations is obliged to comply with the EU GDPR when supplying translations or other services to countries within the EU area. During the transition period, data transfer between the EU and the UK is possible according to the same terms as before Brexit.

8. Principles of filing system protection
Care will always be taken when processing the personal data in our filing systems, and personal data processed using data systems will be appropriately protected. When filing system data is stored on Internet servers, appropriate care is taken to ensure the physical and digital information security of the equipment. The controller makes sure that the stored personal data, the rights of use of servers and other data critical for the security of the personal data are processed confidentially.

9. Right of access and the right to request the rectification of data
Every person included in the filing system has the right to check the data concerning themselves and to demand that inaccuracies are corrected, or that inadequate information is supplemented. They also have the right to forbid the use of their data for marketing and advertising purposes and to protect any other rights they hold in accordance with the EU and UK GDPR. The data is checked and corrected on the person’s written and signed request, delivered either by post or email.

10. Other rights relating to the processing of personal data
A data subject has the right to request the erasure of their personal data from the filing system (“the right to be forgotten”). Also, the data subject has other rights bestowed on them by the GDPR, such as the right to restrict the processing of their personal data in certain situations. Such requests must be sent in writing to the controller. The controller will reply to the customer within the time limit set in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (usually within one month).
